Son of Henry and Helen Crosthwaite, of Bo’ness, West Lothian. Husband of Margaret Crosthwaite, of “Balfern,” Heriot Gardens, Burntisland, Fife. Born: Stockton-on-Tees, Durham. During a bombing raid by enemy aircraft on 16th September 1918, Robert was fatally wounded and died on the same day at 6th Casualty Clearing Station.
