Son of Duncan Chisholm, and the late Margaret Chisholm; husband of Mary Chisholm (nee Falconer), of Marchlands, Bo’ness, Scotland. Born at Glasgow. He was on board S.S. “Grenadier” when it sank on 23rd February 1917, after striking a mine laid by German submarine UC-4 approximately 6 nautical miles east-north- east of the Shipwash light vessel, off Harwich.
